The Expert Group serves as an academic peer group for research in the field of expropriation law. It brings together scholars from different countries who do research on expropriation law, thus creating a peer-group that is necessary for any good academic exchange. It also organises conferences on expropriation or expropriation-related themes on a regular (annual) basis.
The Expert Group promotes research with a cross-national comparative perspective, thus enabling exchange of knowledge in the field. It aims at making the results of this research accessible through publications.
